Welcome to the GWTW Forum.

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Started this on fb, thought I'd bring it over here.

From Kitelife.com Jan/Feb 2000.

How many have you flown? Favorite? Owned? Stories?

To gain Platinum Membership of the Kite-of-the-Month Club, you must own every one of them, and for bonus Karma, multiples in each colour and configuration, if available.

I am just Silver level, having owned 17 of them (though I did have multiples of the HQ Midi & Tramontana, Flexifoil Stranger & Psycho, Benson Phantom & BoT, Big Easy MEFM, Rev II, Prism Eclipse and Trick Tail.

Thanks to OPKing, I have flown all of them.  Kiss

By my count I own/owned 11 of them. Gave my Deca to Ian Willoughby. Tracer got chewed up by squirrels while drying in the yard. And my NikNak is a custom sail because Trennepohl's dog got rambunctious and ran through it, so John patched it with a special lizard.

I have flown 19 and owned 5. Never flew the Air Fx, although I remember when they came out, I thought they looked great. I would still like to get my hands on a MEFM though. A lot of nice kites on that list.

I remember the Air-FX forming my idea of what good feels like back in the mid 90s

There was another 'Ian' in the NKF who flew three at once. I remember flying his and being blown away compared to my staple diet of Psychos Strangers and BoTs

Swirly inland winds with an SUL provides a close approximation to snarky kite attacks I suspect.  Cheesy  I would fly an SL7 if offered the chance.

cool thread!
I own a few of these and over the years have flown a bunch of them.  My favorite is still my Illusion, the 98 version with a stronger LLE
