I know this has been asked before but I couldn't find the thread. Is there still any flyers in the Destin, Ft Walton area? I'll be in Destin on the 4th -7th and bringing a few kites with me. It would be nice to fly with someone and know where the best places to fly are located.

Kites & Corvettes, both, a great way to fly.

Destin is likely to be pretty crowded I'd have thought ...

When we stayed at Fort Walton Beach - I flew at on the wide part of the beach when the development ends and the airbase begins.

See here: https://goo.gl/maps/MKMps - on the left-hand-side.

You might need to park and walk - but its worth the effort IMHO - because the beach so much better, less foot traffic and cleaner winds when offshore.

Or - there is room/parking on the section between FWB and Destin: https://goo.gl/maps/KWYPP

and at the bridge over the river/estuary too: https://goo.gl/maps/Q3Oss
