Take a look at this: http://www.vckf.org/  I recently received an e-mail from Dan Rubesh stating there is going to be the Port Hueneme Beach Festival on August 22nd and 23rd and the Ventura County kite flyers have been invited. I've already made my reservations.

hello snow we get up there for club fly's as often as we can i am in hermosa bch not 2 far get in touch with the gang  http://www.vckf.org/    they have a GREAT  spot to fly and are a good group they do fly in oxnard though on the beach on the grass KO ps we have 5 miles of groomed beach ourselves!! come on down

  Im the Flight Instructor at Harbor Wind and Kite.

  We fly at the Harbor on the weekends as well as down at the Park in Oxnard on occasion with the Ventura Club. My students and I will also Venture over to Kimball Rd and the water Park area to fly there after soccer games in the late afternoon to escape the higher winds.
