Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

The wind had been bad at the coast in the start of summer. I got my new E-3 and couldn't wait for a slight breeze. Waiting, waiting, then broke my leg mountain biking. AAAAAARGH! I've been home with nothing to do but raise my leg for over 3 weeks now. I can finally spend some time on the computer without the swelling getting too bad. Guess you are all safe to go to my local beach and fly as I can't lose any OPKs. at the moment. I'll just sit here and watch terrible movies.  Boo Hoo.

Ouch! Not a good way to start a Summer! Sad

If you're willing to go over to the Dark Side, it's pretty easy to fly a Rev from a lawn chair, as long as the wind is reasonably steady.

Shaving improves aerodynamics.

Due to small surface area, dual line is marginally easier than quad line.

Please refrain from using the terms "yank & spank", lest the ASPCA intervenes.  Roll Eyes

Funny! There are no flying cats in my bag. I may have to try the flying from a chair thing though. Berkeley kite fest is coming soon.

Dangerous but fun. Just think though, Dave's line laundry will be safe for a while.
