One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

The 9th Annual, Squaw Valley Music and Kite, held on July 11th, 2009 was SOOO GREAT!!! We decided to do it again THIS YEAR!

Who wants to wait another year for a SUPER event, in a SUPER location?

It is OFFICIAL!  1st time EVER! TWO Squaw events in the same year!

On Aug 22nd, 2009,  we will have a back to school/end of summer

So if you wanted to go, but couldn't make it, or loved it and want to go again!? No worries! Please drop me a PM or email and let us know ASAP!

We do need a headcount, so please respond if you are planning to attend as a FREE attendee - Kite flyer Smiley

Phil, what kite festival were you at that was so good?  There were only about 3 people who flew single line kites.  The majority flew revs by the grand stand/band and the wind was worthless.  I got feed back from people who were there, that if I had not told them what the conditions were (flying in a rock field and weeds and bad wind conditions) they would have been sorely disappointed but they wanted to come up at least once.  I encourage everyone to try it at least once.  We tried it 6 times already and mostly have been disappointed or frustated with the conditions.  But hey, give it another try Phil!  Good luck.
