One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Hi all,

I was flying my 2.3 Standard today in rather windy conditions when the tail "popped off". I lost my weights and any other bits that were holding them in place.

Just wondering if someone could post a photo of the tail assembly of an SF so that I can get a few bits and peices and put it back together..From memory there was something like 2 "BMK type" weights somehow connected to the end of the spine.

Many thanks

Steve :-)

What i also do is to use a bit of masking tape to hold the ends together so nothing gets dropped out. Cool

thanks Guys. That really helps. Most grateful. I've lost the two weights and T-section. I'll have to go on the hunt for something equivalent to replace them with.

Tape on the end sounds like a great idea. I actually though of that the morning of the flight when I lost everything...so much for thinking without taking action !! Smiley

cheers

Do you just need the weights or is the spine extension missing also.  Either way check your email.  I got what you need.

Hi Steve. I need the spine extension as well as the tail weights (they flew off into "never land").
Thanks. Got your email. I have replied back to you.

cheers
