One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

if the winds are good and the kite is tolerable, teaching another to fly can be easy. So take light winds suitable for UL kites and try to help new flyers with a maybe $10 dual line kite, twisted polyester lines and those d-shaped handles with multiple tie off points. This was a chore; an Alpha+ flew and a Prospeed 6+ did also but barely.  The lines to the little kite hung parallel to the ground for half the distance to the kite looking more like clothes line attached to a butterfly and making turns look like an invisible person jumping rope.  They lasted about 1 1/2 hours at it before giving up.  They were visitors from Santiago, Chile and they had an advantage; their English was much better than my Spanish and after a while we ended up trying to determine if they were, in fact, distant cousins related by marriage.  The world just keeps getting smaller....!  This is one aspect of kite flying I enjoy: meeting new people from many different places...
