Welcome to the GWTW Forum.

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I just read a post from Andrew Beattie on Facebook,  and learned that Corey Jenson passed awayyesterday.  I hate being the one to announce this sad news, but felt I should pass on the bad news.   R.I.P. Corey.  You will be greatly missed.

I'm so glad to have met him when I did! He talked my ear off for about three hours in a Monterey kite store back in the late 1990s. I have been hooked on kiting ever since. He was such a character and he had such enthusiasm for the sport of kiting!!! Thanks so much Corey!!!

Corey Jensen is the reason I fly kites. My family moved to Monterey, CA, in '95, me with a budding interest in kites, and a collection of maybe 3 to my name. I didn't know where to fly them, but there was a collection of people with amazing kites on the sand dune every Sunday, and I felt that if I belonged anywhere, it was there. And that was Corey's crew. My kiting home.

I'll miss the big guy. Smooth winds, and fly in peace.

Whoa.....a man who was larger than life with a moustache to prove it.
He could talk yer ear off and came on a little strong, but what enthusiasm for all aspects of  kiting......quite infectious though!
Condolences to family and friends.

Corey loved his Sky Delight Luna Moth UL.

I pulled out my Frankenmoth and added a draped black tail.

For Corey.

Sorry to hear of Corey's passing.

Thoughts to his family.

And that includes us.

A bit late...
But that was the Corey I remember.
He was born 12/25/1950

(Interesting I logged in on 12/25, almost 6 months since my last time here!)

I'm grateful that all those who can read this are still here.
I have missed many of you during that time.

I can see better now, in more ways than one.  Wink
(remembering my cataracts)

Peace,
