One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Marc Conklin has put up a new web site for RWRSKC http://www.richmondairforce.com/RWRSKC/  Included are details for registration, donations, precision figures, and directions to Taylor Park.  The date of the competition is Saturday, September 19.  I hope you have saved the date and have talked to a new flier about the competition.  The cut off date for non-Novice flier registration is 11 September so don’t wait.  Sign up now

 

We also need a logo for RWRSKC!  If you are creative, artistic, inspired – give us an idea.  After we come up with a logo, I need someone who has the graphic capabilities to design and print award certificates.

Registration for RWRSKC closes for non-Novice competitors in less than a month.  Have you registered yet?  If you don’t want to compete, we need volunteers to be judges, field directors, and mentors for Novice fliers.

Summer is over and it’s time to think about fall kiting events.  RWRSKC is almost upon us.  The date is Saturday, September 19.  The deadline for non-Novice fliers to register is THIS Friday – September 11.  Don’t be left out!  If you haven’t, register now.  The competition is free for Novice fliers and they do not need to pre-register.  Invite a new flier to come join the fun!  The website for registration is http://www.richmondairforce.com/RWRSKC/registration.htm.   If competing isn’t really your thing right now, come and help.  We need judges, field directors, and novice mentors.

Lisa Willoughby has offered to give fighter kite lessons at RWRSKC.  Any interest?  Let me know.  You don’t have to be registered for the event to take advantage of this offer!  If you’ve been out of touch for the past few weeks, RWRSKC is being held at Taylor Park (east of Ashland, VA) on Saturday, 19 September.  Registration for non-Novices is closed (as of 11 September) but on-site registration for Novices is available.  You can check out the web site at http://www.richmondairforce.com
