One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Disney World Resort is in the middle of Florida, east to west. Lots of good beaches in either direction, especially southeast or southwest. Just go to Google Maps. Also Google "florida kite festivals", which will include Treasure Island, New Smyrna Beach, and others, most within 100 miles.

I am curious about the best beaches for kite flying around daytona and then on the gulf around school siesta key and st petersburgh too.  I have never been to florida but will be visiting my sister and friends and would like to drive down with a big bag of kites to fly.  And any suggestions for timing?  Would like to go between january and may,  and we are flexible....looking for the most dependable wind and space for flying....thx

I believe the Treasure Island Kite Festival is in February. If you can make it to that, you won't be disappointed.

There are two events at Treasure Island. The TI Kite Fest is in January. KiteMania is in February.

There's some great flying on the lagoon in the center of EPCOT, if you have a boat and know the right people.  Cheesy

Check out the website for Kiting Tampa Bay they'll have links to all the local festivals and LOTS of folks to meet up  for some fly time.
