Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I recently went camping and kite flying with a guy that lives in Reno, Nv. He forgot his bag of tails, so he said. Long before the sun had set he made a Miller's Lite 17 footer for his new Gomberg 11 foot Shazam. This gives a whole new meaning to flying "beer kites". I had to take the kite down that night. I wonder why??  Roll Eyes

Yes, Brenda was the DD and the next day she was 'designated' to drive to Carson City to purchase more tail 'material'.  Tongue

Hi, this is JJ in Reno.  Yes, that was my beer kite.  I am a senior citizen and a tea-toadler - I was forced to drink all that beer and make that tail.  Some of you know this guy by the name of Norm who made me drink this beer, but I have other names for him and one is WEIRDO.  Yes, my wife did go to Carson City, but she did not pick up beer, she picked up medicine.  Goooood Medicine - Jose Cuervo.  Wink
