Turning Canard into Indoor Glider?

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.

Hi,

I remember seeing a video somewhere of somebody flying a Canard indoor like a glider, dipping it around, flatspins and the like. Not sure if its the original Canard modded or some other similar looking kite.

Anybody have any good recommendations of turning a stock Canard into a low wind/no wind glider? I"m thinking maybe nose weights, changing the AOA on the bridle etc..

I have glided them in no winds outdoor but you have to keep tension, I bet it would take quite a bit of weight to turn it into a real glider.

The tow point is supper easy to move though.

Captian Chaos converted his canard to an indoor flyer.  I'll see if I can get the specs from him.  I know he reframed it and installed a bridle rather then a single tow point.
