I'm wondering if there are any thoughts on the Quantum S.E?

I like the color scheme and they are fun to fly in high winds. Especially with the roar it makes crossing the wind window.

The Vapor is great too BUT not for THAT price!! LOL!

I've been seriously thinking about buying one. I already have one in citrus and I love it. I'm thinking a quantum stack would be pretty cool too. Smiley

Well, I had all the colors then gave the Ice to my bro since he liked the color.

Sooo, I bought the S.E. to make up the difference! Tongue

I feel better now Grin Cheesy

Never thought about a stack. I have a bunch of those but not a Quantum version.

My Quantum stack flys great, plenty of pull, nice controlled passes

I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but still very tempted! Congrats on yours. I would love to see some pics when you get it if it isn't too much trouble. I also love the old Ice color scheme. I have almost bought a couple that have come up on ebay. I kind of wish I had not let them pass now, but I'm sure I will have another chance sometime.

Aside from the cosmetic differences is there any difference between the older Quantums and the newer ones? I have the newer style and am wondering if there would be any issues stacking the newer style with the older style. Smiley

No difference.  The frames are identical.

How is it compared to the Nexus 5 stack?
If I build a Quantum stack, can I just use the same link lines? Any tweaking needed?

This post was started the same day I received the 25th Anniversary Quantum S.E....Because it was my BIRTHDAY GIFT  Smiley I absolutely love it. Love the size, love the pull I get in the right winds, and love what a smooth flyer it is. Quality is top notch, and love the throwback 90's color - Radian.

Never flown a Quantum. Have had a Radian, so this piques interest a bit for that alone (colour).

Can someone elaborate on the 'roar' being referred to?

Are we talking more of a trailing edge flatulence type of noise?  Or...?

Do tend to prefer quiet at the local field near home.

Thanks for any feedback.

In my (relatively inexperienced) opinion I would say it's pretty loud in higher winds. Tail end flatulence is probably fairly accurate, now that I've heard it put that way. Cheesy  It's not very loud in lower winds.  Smiley

Yep! I believe the "roar" is from the trailing edge. It turns some heads in the air in high winds.
