One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I have trip planned to Ft L / Miami / Keys in late October around the Kitetober Kite Fest?  I have checked in with Dan Ward and looking forward to getting away after tax season extensions....

Has anyone been down recently?  Any suggestions to make the kiting experience better?  Spouse ready for a fly on the South Side of Haulover,  but not sure I will be able to post those photos?  Smiley

I have been to a few in the last 20-odd years. Be early to snag prime spots and parking. expect lots of kids and cheap kites. A beautiful sight but deadly to your xpensive Spectra and Dyneena lines....Some times the wind doesnt pick up till after midday but then it tends to be steady and blowing in from the ocean. If you want to escape the crowd for a while, you could risk life and limb trying to cross A1A to go fly at Haulover beach proper. And then look back west at all the kites in the sky...A beautiful sight!

ps Bring lots of sun protection. Even in October, the Miami sun is a killer.
