Hi all. Soon, Krijn will start to build the sail for my Magnet XL SUL

I'm really undecided about framing... As you know in the KarelOh.com plan there are 2 versions, one with P series and one with PT series LE (Carlo recommended me the last one even if it's less stiffer), did anyone who tried both settings can tell me which perform better tricks in very low wins?

Looking at the Benson Superfly UL video, framed with a P-90/P1X LE combination, I'm thinking to use the same tubes in the magnet, what do you think?

Thanks in advance

I've just been having the same dialogue with Krijn.

He was recommending me Carlo's P90/P100 frame.  It sounds as though Carlo is recommending Sascha's frame from what you have posted.

I'm sure either will be fine and there isn't a lot of cost difference between the two.

Yeah that's why I'm searching for a suggestion of someone else, if both Carlo and Krijn would have suggested the same version I would have been sure about it  Grin

I would look into the ZeroAir rods.

Carlo will have flown Sascha's, so if he thinks Sascha's is a better frame choice I would probably go with that.

I know Krijn has flown Carlo's, but may not have flown Sascha's.

Hopefully one or both of them will be along in a while to comment.

I would recommend the P90, P1X  approach, with a 2pt LS, P1X Spine.

I framed my Magnet XL SUL  with Pt but found it too flexible. The P series worked great on the Vortex 107% Sul sail I made for a friend.

Exaclty, you are right. They wrote to me what you said.

I would recommend the P90, P1X  approach, with a 2pt LS, P1X Spine.

It's the setting I wanted to try, but don't you think 2pt are too lightweight?

I am pretty sure that the plan calls for 3PT LS

I reckon 2PT would be very prone to breaking

How do they compare to the p90?

No 2Pt spreaders.
No ZeroAir.

We are not trying to make a kite as light as possible, but we want to make a tricking SUL. You need stiffness and mass.
(Small example: the tailweight of the Bill is an enormous 25 grams, but it will fly and trick (!) in less winds than the NSE WW. Aerostuff Blue.)

2Pt LE or P90/P100?
I just proposed the P's because I flew them and I liked them. Also: they are a great combination in Carlo's Vendetta SUL.

Maybe the difference is very small after all.

Best framing option might be the (very expensive) all Aerostuff Blue... 28 a piece without shipping...

And Enrico: I have 7 of those at home, but they are for my 90nine SUL Wink.
(I can order them for you.)

No no don't worry I don't want an indoor kite Cheesy

2Pt LE or P90/P100?
I think it's the better choice even if I'm oriented in trying the P90/P1X comb. with 3pt LS

(I can order them for you.)
ahah no thank you a lot, it's too much expensive for my use of kites right now Tongue

Go for the 3pt LS. Sounds great.
