Just picked this one up. Not sure of the model. Looks similar to my Diablo, but it has wingtip battons like my AirFx. Anyone know what it is?

Icarex sail, Icarex Leading edge pockets. Gforce UL leading edges. Needs spreaders, not sure what I should use on this one. Not sure if it would have been a UL or a Std.

The relatively rare Aerie Kiteworks AirFX 32 Panel.

If I'm not mistaken, there were only two made in that color pattern. One for myself, and one for a friend.  synthexracing, do I know you, and how did you happen to come by this kite?

My name is Andy Marlow. I'm in Kannapolis, NC. Not too far from your neck of the woods. I'm currently rebuilding my collection after selling out about 10 years ago.

I bought this one, along with several others from my buddy Terry Thurston.

Hi Andy. Thanks, I can see Terry getting that from the guy I built it for.

What spreaders would you recommend? I assume the lengths would be the same as my airfx sul?

Use the Skyshark Nitros for the lower spreaders. If they have "lights" in stock, go with that. Full 32.5". Same wingtip bow-battens as your SL and fitting is in same position. If you don't want to mess with doing new fittings, get a couple of the TAPA edge connectors (X maybe?), and cut the bow-battens down a little. IIRC, bow-battens s/b .080 FG @ 12.0"

If you ever want to pass that kite along, please let me know.

What about the upper spreader? It came with the battons fortunately.

I don't remember the length. It's probably the same as your SL. Original spec. was .210 pultruded.

There are a few people on the forum that have AirFX's, they can help you with details that I can't pull from memory.

Does anyone know what the original lower spreaders would have been? I have quite a few G-force UL  sticks in my stash. Would be great to keep it original specs if possible. If it's something I don't have I'll modernize with nitros as Ken suggested.

I'm thinking you are in luck having a bunch of G force UL's about.....as that's what the Air FX's I have are equipped with and are all original.
