I flew my Wolf after you all left, in those gusts to 42 mph. Even got a full 540 slot machine in that, my first. Mostly just trying to keep under or off wind the whole time though.
Another fellow came out with his power kite, maybe a 6 meter. One of those folks who feel you need to back up all the time your flying ... right into the area I was flying in as always. Didn't last long though, I landed off to the side to let him pass but he decided to attempt jumping with the kite. Ended up well downwind, layed on the ground for a long time before finally moving. He had a freind with him standing over him not getting very excited so I assumed he was ok just the wind knocked out of him. Scariest part was right after watching this guy get slammed by that kite a lady and a maybe 2 year old decided the best play area in the 70 acres was in the bridle lines of the downed kite. Poor guy couldn't even sit up yet and had to scream at them to move away from the kite that had just nearly killed him.
Didn't take any pics ourselves either, Front page news above the fold today, attendance estimated at 5000 attendee's, a little high IMO but a lot came and left pretty quickly. Second time in two weeks kites have held that front page spot.
