Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

"11/9/17 Hospice
We went down to Indy yesterday to meet with the doctors. My body is now too weak to withstand the bone marrow transplant. I have no further options. I'll move to hospice care next week and stop the blood transfusions. Wish I had better news
The family could use continued support when I'm gone. I put up the good fight but lost in the end.
Thanks to all of you for your love"

Such an undeserved end for someone who has been such a generous and helpful member of the forum and the wider kiting community.

Steve is one of the kite people I have looked forward to meeting in person and flying with for years.

As his kids have grown up he started to be able to think about traveling to events like Kite Party. It was just a matter of time before either I went east or he came west.

I am very sad.

I wish that I had met Steve Tapp in person, flown kites with him on a beach with those perfect Lab Grade winds. Talked kites, hung out and got to know him better. I so enjoyed our emails sent back & forth, as he developed and perfected the Enigma. I would've liked to watch him layout, sew, build and tweak his kites, there would be so much to learn. He really is an outstanding kite craftsman. I hope that he is comfortable and able to share his time with his family. He will be missed.

Have had a Very Strong interest in Steve's Amazing kites for 3 or so years.
Finally was able to get an Enigma, thanks to the kindness of an Awsome kiter friend.
Then Steve posted the news.   Huh.    I Have not met him in person but reached out and he
was able to respond.  Even though he was feeling really bad.  Everyone that talks about Steve
says how kind and wonderful he is.
I Lots a BUNCH of friends to Cancer last year.  My Hunny went through 8 months of intense Chemo
last year and just made it.  She is Blessed.  I want Steve to feel as calm and pain free through this
chapter of his life.  I feel a Deep sadness and am having trouble shaking it.  I have Faith and pray for Steve !
I am saying a lot and should stop now.  Steve.   Bless You and May Angels guide You on your Journey Brother!
You impacted a bunch of people I know this for sure.  Thank you for You!  Smiley
