One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I have a sunrise spin-off that was missing the upper spreader. The rest of the frame is unmarked black fiberglass. I ordered a replacement fiberglass stick, but it has a much thicker wall and is heavier. The old stuff is pretty thin walled.

What would be the best replacement?

You should be able to find glaspar (that is what it is) in the sizes...I think I heard somewhere that skyshark rods can work at a little bit more cost

J65 tube x 22 7/8" would be the original size used. Some people have reframed their kites with Skyshark tubes.

I would take you up on that offer! Always nice to have spares.

I have another spinoff that is framed in a lighter unmarked yellow tubing. The nose is also lighter material. Don't know if these would be a UL?

I've never had a Hawaiian, maybe one of these other guys knows. I'm in need of a black spar for sure. Like to have a spare for everything if I run accross any of the yellows as well.
