One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

The kites that have been out of the bag the most lately

  • Widow Maker - I still get the best results trying new things with it
  • BMK Muse w/Nitro's - By Ken, not my workshop kite
  • BMK Exile w/Nitro's
  • SkyBurner Freestylist
  • Premier Wolf
Notice a pattern? I obviously like a rigid kite, all these have very little flex and I can hammer them.

I've been flying my new Nebula by Four Winds kites as much as possible. I mix in my Sea Devil and Exile, depending on the wind. Once in a while I fly a QPro to see if I've learned anything...

I've just had a session with a X-Masque Rage, can't understand why people don't like them Shocked
A couple of weekends back a Midi 98 with a bit of weight and a tweaked bridle, that was fun.
Rest of the time mostly Mantis when I've had chance.

I must get another P200 framed Mantis, they have a nice laid back feel that the Nitros took away a little.  Cool

I've been loking forward to flying my Premiere widow and Exile, but a couple of weeks ago I fell in the ice and broke my elbow Sad   Still, the weather's kinda cruddy with a few inches of snow alternating with muddy conditions, so by the time it cleans up I'll be flying my Widow and Exile Grin

Lately, winds have been light here, so it's been my Sano SSL's.
Now that the winds are coming back up again, it'll be my Widowmaker and new Deep Space.

At Kite Party I flew:

AerZero 25%
Prophecy 25%
Reactor Pro 25%
Stiletto 10%
Midi 5%
Misc 10%

That's pretty much the mix in real life, but being winter more on the AerZero and generally a lot more Midi than Proph.

not been flying as much as I want over this winter, but when I have it's been my DS in lighter winds, and my Akuji Comp in heavier winds.

I'd agree with that.

I've haven't been flying much. Two new kites - one completely new, a Ghost, and one old new kite, L7 - have gone unflown.

But, what flying I have done has mostly been on the DS.

Looking forward to Spring.
