One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.

Got a buddy from high school that is looking for a replacement part for what I believe to be a Hawaiian Team.  He needs to replace a lower spreader which he described as 32.5 inches long and 5/16 inch OD.  Sounds to me like an G50.

Somewhere I have the specs for the old TOTL's but of course now that I need it I can't find it.

Can some one verify that the Hawaiian team used a 32.5 inch G50 as a lower spreader?

Thanks in advance.

From an old ITW catalog, if that's a Chevron Team....
wing & spine .35" FG, spreaders .337", battens .278"

If I remember right, the lower spreader is a full length K75 rod.

Take a S.W.A.G. at it.

Yeah those specs might've changed, my early Team Chevron (pre stand-off) used the same rods in the wings and spreader, .350" Fiberglass tube or a K75 as mentioned above.

Steve/GWTW doesn't have them listed online but I think he still has some, email or PM him, he might be able to hook you up still.
