Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

My name is Matt, my wife and I were visiting Treasure Island for a quick getaway, while there we met Ron and Bill.  To make a long story short there was kiting event going on, my wife and I were completely intrigued.  So..... after purchasing a couple kites from the local kite store (in John's Pass, not sure of the name) we headed to the beach to join the festival.  Upon opening my new kite I was completely confused, so I found the nearest person that seemed to know what they were doing..... enter Ron.   He more than willingly gave a complete tutorial of kites and all aspects involving (way more than expected).  Anyways, I hope this message reaches Ron and Bill and lets them know they created a new Kiter.  Thanks Again....... Matt and Holly

BTW, I think Ron was from Atlanta And Bill from Pittsburg.

Sounds like Bill Phillips - you can message him from here: http://www.gwtwforum.com/index.php?action=profile;u=1264

And Ron ... there used to be a member on the old forum Atlanta2, Ron Roach IIRC, he might have a new ID.

Thanks Frazer for giving Matt my profile info so he can contacy me if he'd like to.  ...It was me and Ron Roach that met & had a great time fellowshipping with Matt and Holly. I hope he's still enjoying the start/introduction we gave him our sport.

Both Ron & I would like to attend the same event next Feb 2019.

My appologies for not seeing this thread sooner. It was actually Ron who just brought it to my attention today. Matt can feel free to contact me any time. My email address is on my profile page.
