Welcome to the GWTW Forum.

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

watching a training video (thanks randy) on my ipod during a flight yesterday made me wonder when is a rolling susan a backspin?

must admit - my eyes have trouble interpreting what my kite is doing sometimes in real life so on my wee ipod screen i am probably missing a lot but the rs seems to be what i think i do when i think i do a backspin

no laughing now.... Shocked

You're welcome. Wink

With the Backspin, the trick starts with the nose pointing at the flyer. With the Rolling Susan, mostly away from the flyer.

Also, the kite lines run over the nose (and remain on top of the kite) for Backspins, but under the trailing edge (and remain under the kite) for Susans
