Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Just saw this posted on Facebook from a German kite building site.    Sad

Through the magic of Google Translate

Empty sky: GŁnter Wolsing
From Ralf - May 7, 2018

Yesterday evening still active in the blue dragon forum and lovingly caring for his own dragon thread , then this morning the sad news of the family: GŁnter Wolsing, master of the giant steering kite, fell asleep at night.

GŁnter can look back on an eventful life - both professionally and privately. The trained machinist successfully studied engineering and completed his working life at the Hamburg Building Authority. He came to the dragons at the tender age of 60, but then really started. Huge stunt kites, up to a gigantic 12 meters span, have been created this way.

In his first book, the following sentence can be found as an introduction: " If this book succeeds in inspiring even one single person for our hobby,
has the whole effort paid off. "

Dear GŁnther, the effort was worth it. You did not inspire a single one, you inspired a whole generation of hang gliders, pulled you under the spell of your dragons and introduced them to the stunt dragons poetry.

I am sad that with you one of those great old gentlemen has gone, to whom we boys will never be able to reach the water. At the same time, I'm glad that you were allowed to fall asleep in peace and out of the middle of the dragon community.

In this sense, have fun with your Flaki 12.0 up there, as you once called it, Cloud Number 7.

Original article in German along with pictures of some of his creations can be found here:
