Hi folks,

I just acquired a brand new, crispy Rev II from the early 90s from a collection of mostly single line kites. We have a Rev EXP and the handles are longer. Is there any collector value to this kite having never been flown? Do the short handles fly differently?

One of the funnest rev offerings ever imo. The Rev II was (is) considerably smaller than the Rev I, and quite frisky and manoeuvreable, so theoretically less leverage is needed -- thus the smaller handles. Fliers do develop their own preferences but I use both short and long depending on what kite I have already out as much as anything. But I am a hacker.

I would think that a brand new unused Rev II would hold value quite well, especially for a collector.

Seeing as they....the Rev 2... aren't made anymore they very well should be desirable and relatively collectable as any rev flier should have a 2 around (I have 4 of 'em myself).
They originally had the shorter handles....however like midibot I as well will change handles depending on wind speed. Did you get lines as well...if so are they Kevlar?
Do you have a pic? What sail does it have as 2's came in single panel, three panel, and a Sedgwick layout....

It does have kevlar lines on a wooden figure eight winder with a button clasp. It is a three panel with black, purple, and green colors. Will take a photo later tonight when I'm home from work.
