Really nice! I like seeing the flag as a reference to the wind speed. that's super light wind! Is the Ocius low mass like other SULs? How do you get it to trick with such low mass?

The mass is the weight of the kite. It's so light that when I try and trick a SUL like my Prism 3-D and Nirvana WW that I pull it instead of pop it. What's the trick to doing to doing what you do?

Ocius is a light kite to begin with. I fly on #50 lines either 60 ft or 75' lines.  I have a Pro Dancer which is a very light Sul but doesn't have the tricking capabilities of the Ocius.  Devin taught me a long time ago to make light easy inputs.  Let the kite finish in light winds.  Also one other Major point.... PRACTICE,PRACTICE,PRACTICE   Huh Huh

Nice video!! I got to fly a Aura recently. Winds were 0 to 3. Line set was Shanti 50# x 75'. The 1st thing the owner told me was to use light inputs. 1st thing I did was do my usual heavy handed inputs LOL. Muscle memory? Maybe. Until flying that kite the Tekken sul was the kite I had taken to the fastest. Very different kites. As I've learned to use more wrist and finger movements I've become more successful in all wind speeds. The Tekken I can guide thru the maneuvers, change what I'm doing mid trick pretty easy and it always feels like I'm in firm touch with the kite. Can very much understand the difference in letting a kite like the Ocius finish and then timing the next input correctly(Pro Dancer). There were 2 Lam suls trying to fly that day. My Tekken and a AC. Consensus seemed to be from some the Lams aren't true suls.Weight wise hard to disagree. Grass was really damp and kites became wet. With 50# x 50' lines and in the dry my Tekken will fly abit in 1. 2 to 3 it'll start tricking even on longer lines. Builders are different and Lam says the Tekken is a sul. I won't disagree. Didn't take long and the Lams were grounded. Aura and my Pro Dancer were still flying some. The PD more successful. When I 1st launched the Aura it was electric. The kite was just there and felt like it was at my fingertips not 75' away. Didn't get to fly it long but was instantly in love. If they still made them I would have ordered one the next day. Mulled over the experience for a few days. The lightness on the lines was familiar like the Pro Dancer but the response was a lot different. More lively. Could see where someone could call the Aura a little twitchy. With light inputs I don't think I'd call it twitchy at all. Weather was really bad for 4 days so I sissyed out and didn't fly. I usually start the day in standard range winds on my Black Dog, Nighthawk or Hydra. Gets me grounded and more focused. At least that's what I tell myself. Couldn't quite figure out why the Aura felt so familiar right out the gate. Talked to Marieanne abit Wednesday and still couldn't make the connection. Thursday went up on the Nighthawk. DUH there it was. Flew it all day trying to figure out how the Aura came to be.Love that Nighthawk. Not like my Widow Maker Pro standard much at all except for how they power up. Pretty rapid. After talking to Marieanne and reading up some the Widow Maker Pro sul will fly more like the Aura than a Solus ul. So I'm going to get the WMP instead of a Solus provided they make some after the Kite convention. Someone please kick that guy in the butt!! I really want another Sky Burner.FOR CHRIST SAKES don't hurt him though.I've read some where folks were not that pleased with the WMP ul and sul flying so different than the standard. For me I think that'd be okay because I want a variety of flying experiences. Hopefully I'll get to find out the differences for myself. I'd also read quite a lot on the comparisons of the Widow ng to the WMP. Having had a ng and now the Pro I didn't find them very similar at all. Different enough that I could easily justify having both. Knew from reading Tapps post that they'd tweaked the wing tips some but not much more info. After Wednesdays conversation I'm not that crazy after all  Tongue.Bring on the WMP sul !!!! In the meantime I'll practice, practice, practice  Cool.

From the flag looks like 2-3 mph maybe 1-2 mph. At the Belmar NJ Kite Festival recently winds were around 1-2 mph near the water line. Around 3-5 kites were UP in the AM hours! At the bottom end of the wind spectrum I keep a Benson Inner Space and then move up to Lam's Triple S (still unique). This wind in your video appears suitable for a Tattoo even with 50' X 50 # line. I keep 60' X 50# also for such situations. Of course no real foot movement = the usual 2-3 steps forward/back. So for me its Benson Inner Space/Triple S/Tattoo for winds under 3 mph (ocean type). Even coming from the inland to the ocean.

With winds at 7 mph from the WEST (to the ocean) and these 2-3 story beach structures it makes it challenging.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
