One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Burton Apple Butter Festival. Bring your kites and your wallets… this family festival celebrates fall harvest in Geauga County. We fly on the picturesque hill on the East end of Burton Century Village to entertain families enjoying the arts, crafts, demonstrations of pioneer life, and especially the Good Food!

An apple butter festival? Its not really a kitefestival but there are ALOT of crafty things to buy and see(think williamsburg-ish) The food is great and the wife loves to come too!
We were also luck enough to have Paul Shirey from Aerostar kites come and visit with us!
the Picture on his website was from last year, see it here on the opening page!

There is always a large(12+) turnout of Paul's kites and a great time was had by all!
Last year we also vacated the field both Saturday and sunday and they had 2 hot air balloons take off!

DD,

Which day are you thinking? Have you heard from the squadron commander yet? Anyone else planning to attend? As mentioned, this is a fun day for the whole family with lots to see and do. And don’t forget the Apple Dumplings……yummmmmm.
