Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

As usual we won't be registering because I'm "local" and primarily an SLK guy.  We like to leave the spots open for others from out of state.  But we'll be there, haven't missed one yet.

Thought I'd mention this here...

Got back from KP yesterday. I've had a moment to reflect. First, Dave is a GREAT host! No two ways about it. He could juggle cats. I'm VERY thankful that he puts on KP every year.

I actually did not fly a ton over the weekend. I did fly as much as I wanted and was very satisfied. But I'll tell you, the best part about KP... is the people. Everyone is just so laid back and great to talk to. You can bump into someone and just start up any old conversation. Seeking people year after year is also great. It is a lot like a family reunion... with just the family that you like. Smiley

So, I'm really thankful for the people that attend KP and the wonderful event it is. Thank you.

Very nice comment Todd.  We kinda feel the same way.  It's interesting how there is a "family" of kite fliers who even after some lengthy time apart gather at some kiting event and take up right where they left off.  Sure, the kiting community has some members that, well never mind, but by and large it's a diverse group with a common bond.  We like playing with the wind.  Oh, another thing.  I had posted the link to John's photo album on a different forum.  A non-kite related forum.  It was amusing because in addition to remarking about all the beautiful kites they couldn't help but notice how many people in the pictures had facial hair.  Hmmmmm. Wink
