One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Sorry, now where does this soap box go?

Just put it under the table, so no one trips over it.

If you have been jumping up and down on it, make sure there are no cracks, so the next person doesn't put their foot through it.

I have spent a fortune on replacements  Huh, after I have used it.  Roll Eyes  Wink

So my question still remains, are these personal made, blanks by Rev, or mass made knockoffs? Angry

Not trolling, handmade means different things to different people, different cultures.  If it's truely handmade/homemade, that's great.  Since it hails from the country that is next to the largest producer of knockoff everything, I was just seeking clarification.  Knockoffs hurt all of us.
If I''m truely trolling, have the GodFather give me a shout.

And what exactly is being "hand made" suppose to prove? Every kite I own is "hand made". The kite in your avatar is "hand made". And if I were to start making knock-offs they would all be "hand made" as well. Being "hand made" doesn't prove jack. Its not like it says "home made",  "one of a kind", or,  "for personal use".

I hope this makes you comfortable.

The Maker of Sponge Bob Rev has original 1.5 Sle, 1.5 B-Series and EXP.

He loves his Revs and recommand it to others. ( I have original 1.5 Sul, 1.5 Standard and 1.5 Vented too.)  Smiley

Yes, He makes many Rev alikes. But He has not sold any one.

He gave it to newbies to practice quad line and then recommanded to go to the original.

Frankly speaking, some copys are sold in South Korea. It's embrassing.

The copy does not match the original. Its quality and performace is terrible!

But most regrettable thing is that some newbies had experienced the copy and lost interested in Quad.

The copy killed the original in this case.

So, He don't give his Rev alikes to any one now for fear that his works can make same case.

And I saw something in ebay.  Lips sealed

I hope there is no such a regrettable case in U.S.A either.

If this thread makes trouble still, I will delete it soon.

The thread doesn't trouble me.  Thanks for posting.  The seller in the ebay listing you included is from the US.  Their listings have been pointed out to Lolly and Ben at Rev a while back.

There is a loooooooooooong list of threads on their ebay dealiings on http://www.powerkiteforum.com.  Questionable behaviour doesn't seem to have too many geographical boundaries.

Take care and all the best to you & yours,
Sam

I think that video is HYSTERICAL!!! If anyone has or has been around kids it makes sense.

The pilot accomplished two things here.....baby sitting and wearing the little guy out for a good nights sleep. Judging from the screaming coming from the kid......a bit frustrated too Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy!!!! Classic!!

Korea is a beautiful and wonderful country, as are the people. Maybe you should spend some time there before making such degrading and idiotic statements.......

Revolution and Nickelodeon must be fighting over who will pay the lawyers. . .

You do realize that Korea is the knock-off capitol of the world right? From Gucci bags to Rolex watches there's nothing safe from the Korean knock-off artist. And if those companies lawyers can't stop it, what chance do you think Revolution or Nickelodeon have?

Denny

did you know the good ole USA is the #1 importer of knock off products from all over the world? If we didn't buy it they wouldn't make it.... Cool

The USA is the #1 importer of products period!  We are a nation of consumers, doesn't matter if it is knock off products or our very own designs, we import them from all over the world - mostly from Asia, India, Mexico and Canada.............well, this topic is starting to turn into political jargon so I must bail from my soapbox now before my ranting goes a kite to far.
