I just acquired a Top of the Line North Shore Extreme. There are two small grommets on either side of the nose. What are they for? Stacking? Shockcord tensioning?

Just wondering if I'm missing a part for this vintage kite?

Thanks.

I just pulled out a 3-stack of North Shore Extremes that I acquired recently but have not flown yet. It has train/link lines, but I do not see any grommets near the nose as you describe, if I understand correctly.

Someone else may be of more help; perhaps a pic would assist as well...?

Thanks for the replies. I did originally attempt to post photos. Went through the Kabuki dance of resizing the photos only to discover this forum doesn't like JPEG. I'll explore hosting the photos elsewhere and possibly post a link. (That is if I get motivated to do so...).

Tinypic is an easy sight to use for forum pics.

The grommets are a mystery to me, but maybe for ribbons or something...?

I do like the sense of humour displayed by the black patches playing off the centre T cutout Wink
