One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Here's some good advice someone gave me some time ago.

Watch lots of decent video of the kites that you are considering.  If you like what you see, then get that kite and learn to fly it.

Different kites require different strengths of input, some rollup easily / some don't, some flatspin nicely / some don't, some you really have to hammer around, etc.  If you see people doing what you want to do with the kite, thats probably about as good as you can do without actually trying one yourself (maybe even better - some of the videos are likely to showcase the kites capabilities and strengths) .

Particularly with ULs, there is alot of variability in how they fly and trick, even with 2 different versions of the same kite.
