hq jam session classic repair

I was replacing a lower spreader for a friends hq jam session classic and found a loose ferrule inside one of the spreaders i only found one but i it had another it may have gotten lost when the spreader split. It doesn't it thru the center t. A possible stuffer?
no mention of it on hq's page, anyone out there have this kite? does yours have something in the spreader?

lots of kites had internal reinforcements in place in their lower spreaders....generally the kites would put alot of pressure on the lower spreaders at the metal center T...and the Jam session is one of them........that is supposed to be there.....it should be flush with the end of the spreader.....

the center t on it is plastic and goes on the outside of the spreaders. Just seemed weird, it was pretty loose.

yep...especially if the T is a little looser than an internal reinforcement would be used to help protect the spreader ends......
it is just a solid carbon or fiberglas rod to fill the inner space of the pultruded rod....
