I recently wanted a bag just to hold some Flexifoil foils.  I found a 'pop-up' canopy that someone threw out because it was bent. Tossed the canopy, kept the bag, shortened same, removed the wheels.  It's a pretty sturdy bag for almost free. Some folding chair bags are good for small line junk too.

Along those same recycle lines, I've made good use of snowboard bags, they're waterproof with nice padding and will hold 20 or so kites. My latest find is a bag made or used for carrying kayaking oars, again it's nicely padded and long enough to carry full sized (2 x 32.5" leading edges) with room to spare and easily holds 8-10 kites with lines. I haven't paid more then $5.00 for any of these bags at yard sales.
