Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I learned to fly pairs on them - slow, very smooth and precise, more importantly for us at the time they really do retain their composure as the wind gets up.
Nice old school kites.

From flickr user Nigel Beard.

Very early '90s, Rare Air's sort-of-signature vents, plenty of design gimmicks that actually worked, imported into the US by Air Circus. The school is Olde (which is even older than Old School). I can put it no better than this:-

"An extremely smooth, quiet, precise, slow kite. Screened vents on the leading edge and wing tips, and a vented keel make this kite extremely smooth, even through gusts. A great kite for precision team flying, but be prepared for a bit of pull. This kite feels like an updated high-tech version of the Hawaiian Team."
Jeff Burka

Will that do you ?  Wink

As for keep or trade... it's a bit of a curiosity that I doubt will attract mainstream attention. For the right person who appreciates a big kite for cutting figures and nothing but it might be a welcome addition. It could be a royal pain to keep it in original Beman spars though.

I believe I purchased it from Ron Reich, 7 or 8 years ago.

And I think it was more like 9 years ago  Tongue

Any resemblance to the mighty Hawaiian is likely to be in it's stuck-to-the-sky-edness, rather than any nuances of "feel".

Mr. 8,

Sometimes I forget that you know everything kite related. Thanks for the reminder.  Huh
