One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Today was a beautiful day so why not take the new red Proteam to the beach and fly.  15 + mph on Scarborough Beach.  Sun, Wind, Sand and a Flexi.  I'm all set.   Had a little trouble launching due to the twigs and rocks but everything went well afterward.  Flew over the rose bushes, the tall grass, the dunes and got tugged around a bit.  A great way to kill an afternoon. I always liked the look of a Flexi over the ocean waves so that's where I headed and that's where the wind stopped............

it's amazing how much water and sand they can hold.........

Hey Zeke,

Good thing you did not have your stack of flexi foils. Shocked Shocked

What a wet mess that would be.

Let me share my deepest passion with my fellow kite-krazzees' at bout my wet kite dreams.

Years ago...my wife asked  me to seek therapeeee' because on my honeymoon....she caught me SHOWERING WITH MY BEAUTIFUL CUSTOM ONE OF ONE OF A KIND KATHY GOODWIND KITE.

At first she laughed...but when she asked me...Why the *ELL' I was taking a shower with my  kite.
Carol stopped laughing...when I replied--------------------

"I JUST LOVE THE FEEL OF WET RIP-STOP NYLON AGAINST MY SKIN!"

"I JUST LOVE THE FEEL OF WET RIP-STOP NYLON AGAINST MY SKIN!"

Alrighty then.... apparently the phrase "It's alright to love your kite, just not LOVE your kite." was left at the threshold.   Huh

If any mention of "SealnGlide" enters into the conversation, we are skirting NC-17 territory.

Hopefully any photographic evidence has been consigned to the ashes a very, very long time ago.

Huh Roll Eyes Embarrassed Cheesy Kiss Cry
Perhaps....even worse at the alter... In my wedding vows...I said those infamous words-------------------
'LOVE ME...LOVE MY KITES!"

(Naturally...I was only showering with my kites to wash away the sand and also just to save water...and I was even hopeful that showing with both my beloved new wife and my beloved new kite..would further our relationship by that old favorite vow of mine..and many others.
"SAVE WATER BY SHOWERING WITH A FRIEND!" Lips sealed
