One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Forecast is for winds E at 9mph for this Monday.

I'm going to try and get out there fairly early what with the switch back to std time.

PM me if you want my phone#..

The regular behind Ellis Island field most likely if the forecast holds.

If it swings South.. the pier.

Just putting it out there.

Well, the forecast has changed significantly..

E 14-16mph with gusts to 29mph and possible sprinkles.

Mmmm... sprinkles...

Looks like a vented day.

Still planning to head out.

Keeping an eye on the forecast as well.  Roll Eyes

29 mph gusts and you are still going out?  What type of vented kite do you have?

Gusts to 20 make my non vented models take quite a beating.

Current wind forecast is 15 with gusts to 26mph.

Direction NE. Now that could be a problem.

With that wind I wont need a vent.

But if I do: QP VV and XT.s VV.

Darn! I HAVE to see how you fly in wind like that sometime! I'd love to learn how to trick in that kind of wind. When it's over 10 if I'm doing anything it's at the edge of the wind window.

Do you ever have Fridays off? I have every other Friday off and with the time change that's about the most I'd get out to LSP until the spring.
