Mini Bee??

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I picked the up this kite from Jerry, and have not been able to locate any additional information
about the kite. It is obviously a Bee of some sort. It is from Chicago Fire and you can see from the
pictures its about 3/4 size from an original.

Any info, name, specs, manual?

I have the one posted by Thief.  You can try Chicago Fire for info on the 3/4 bee. I've emailed them a couple times a few years ago about a Killer Bee and never got a response. Maybe if you could contact a team member you might have some luck. I like the mini-bee though I haven't seen any Fire Bees other than my own, I also haven't seen that wing color. I have the white, off-yellow and black wings.  I had thought that this 'raspberry' color was a European  preference.   BTW< what camera did you use?

The lens currently on the camera is a Canon EF-S 18-55 1:3.5-5.6




I also carry a Canon EF 75-300 1:4-5.6




I used to have a Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS that was damaged from falling to the floor and bending the focus ring




I could not find a Sigma 28-90 lens with a Canon mount, are you using an adapter?

I would setup a test with the camera on a tripod and a subject 10-12 feet away and manual focus. Measure the exact distance and take some test shots, then move the subject closer/further by 3-6 inches and take another picture at each distance w/o changing the focus ring then evaluate the results.

 sigma zoom 28-90 1:3.5-5.6 macro is what it says on the front of the lens.   I have the canon 75-300 also and am disappointed with it.  the 20D Firmware is 2.0.3 which is supposed to be the latest.

color temp 5200K, no odd combination of custom functions, no significant difference between auto and av or tv modes.  will try to use the tripod more and experiment.  the sigma works better than several of the canon lenses I have owned.  I am beginning to think it is the monitor (Acer X191X) and/or my vision.  Prints look pretty good using the Canon Digital Photo Professional.  might be time for an 'upgrade' of the system too...
