Center Tee Treatments

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

So, looking for a C Tee with a shank to work with BD Nitros.

Beyond any Avia stuff laying about and a .285 ferrule, which wouldn't have much of a shank anyway, the R-Sky C Tee with a couple of 1.5" pieces of P100 glued into the big end and a .2400 solid ferrule seems to be about it right now.

Anyone have another way of doing this that they've come up with and like?

There is a real dearth of available C Tees, particularly, with shanks.

Kitehouse uses a rubber center T. (I think its made by HQ) It will take a .285 ferrule.

I'm curious on the advantages of the longer T shank.  Aerodynamic?  Mechanical? Aesthetic? It's French?

What is Jon T using on the Widow Maker Standards? Might give him a call, link on your right. Or anything made for the G Force (not skinny's) will work, same diameter.

Aviasports newer center tee is rubber as well, Ramlal uses those on some of the Transfers but then it's getting hard to find anything from Avia.

Center tees with a longer neck, not the type that has the holes sitting right on top of each other.

It's for use on a V-Masque.

Masques have the bridle running forward under the C Tee.

It is for bridle clearance in this case, although I am sure there are designers who know what other effects it would have on a kite.

I don't think I'll need to have anything custom made. It's not that big of a deal. It would just be nice to have a little more choice in center tees. Something we don't have at the moment..

You can always glue (I would epoxy) the P100 inside the Nitro's then use a standard R-Sky T, plus if you make the sections of P100's slightly longer then your ferrule you've effectively strengthened that area at negligible additional weight, never a bad thing

That's what I said more or less. You insert Two small sections of P100 in the Nitros and then proceed as one would with a .2400 ferrule. Now how that gets affected by cutting the Nitro from the big end I don't know.
