One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

John,

I'd like to, but I've got planned to go pickup some new bedroom furniture for the misses.

That new field you found looks most interesting. I'm looking forward to get out there.
If you go, give us a report.

Well it seems it was a great day to fly kites, the only problem it took me a little while to find a Park that didn't have a Soccer game going, went to Veterans Memorial, no chance more Soccer players then people at the mall, ended up checking out a new park that I have never been to, since the wind was out of the North I thought it should be good, well it was also packed with Soccer players, found a ball field on the Far side of the park just enough room for me to fly, and that I did for 51/2 hrs, wind variable from 6 to 12 mph just right for me to fly some standard's, but spent most of the time fly my Talon STD it was a lot of fun I final became one with this Kite Grin

Shoulda come to Chico ... Winds were as good as they've been in recent memory.  It was just me, The Wizard, my new rainbow SLK display, the trusty Gem and my iPod.

No sports, no dogs and no other flyers.

Haven't had that much fun in a long long time.

We had wind! 11- 14mph but 55 degrees and rainy off and on. Had some fun with the foils but that was about it. We did however find what looked like a very unlucky motorist! I will try to post a picture in a little while. My pictures are still in raw form and I will need to convert them.

Here it is. Look to the right of the life ring box. Not sure how this occurred, but it didn't appear like anyone was in it...
