It was a pretty good show. Alright, Jerry Lee sucked as did Crosby, Stills & Nash. But the rest of the show was good. Jeff Beck rocked and Patti Smith was hot.  Shocked

Denny,
Jerry Lee may have done many things in his time... Cool  But sucking wasn't one of them in my book... Cool  Hell as old as he is he is damned lucky he can even still find his way to his piano, let alone play the thing... Cheesy

Geddy Lee is and was one of the best bass players in a rock band. I didn't like his voice, but that guy could play.

Now the DC5, that's sacred ground big guy. At least they had Tom Hanks give their induction speech.  Smiley

Nothing says Rock and Roll like Tom Hanks.
Oh yeah ... that drummer for Rush ... understand he's pretty good too.

What?
Rush isn't in?
That's just crazy talk.
Rush - The Spirit Of Radio ( Grace Under Pressure )

With songs like this?
Decade after decade?

Songs like that are exactly why Rush is not in the hall of fame yet.

The power of Rush is in their fan base.

The establishment music industry never gave them anything they weren't forced to give them. They have always been uncomfortable with these guys.

This will be the same.

Eventually, they will cave to the pressure that Rush has been able to bring to bear through the sheer number of people who count themselves as part of that army.

As it was in the beginning, so it shall be at the end.

Not that it matters.

Rush is bigger than the hall of fame.

 Cheesy

The Spirit Of Radio is Rush giving the business to The Business.

Here's some real Rush:

Rush should have been in a long time ago as should Deep Purple and Cheap Trick.

Rush might not get inducted any time soon, but the Dave Clark Five was inducted last year.  Wink

Exactly ... I meant that I could have used them in my example instead of Gene Vincent.  There are a number of inductees that make the whole "Hall of Fame" designation dubious.
