Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Rush might not get inducted any time soon, but the Dave Clark Five was inducted last year.
Exactly ... I meant that I could have used them in my example instead of Gene Vincent.  There are a number of inductees that make the whole "Hall of Fame" designation dubious.

It should warm your heart to hear that ABBA has been nominated for induction next year.  Roll Eyes

I hope "dubious" means well-deserved.

Or else I'd have to come up there and open a big can of Woopass™ on that skinny carcass of yours.  Cool

I guess Rock and Roll is in the ear of the beholder.
One man's Rock and Roll is another man's 1910 Fruitgum Company.

whoa whoa whoa. I hate to come between the two of you and the "debate" at hand, but seriously, the DC5 were NOT bubblegum! Kinda like saying the Beach Boys were just another Boy Band.

waiting for someone to say they were.... Undecided

Even mentioning Yardbirds and boy bands in the same sentence is reason for banning even if you meant to be ironic.

Great guitarists, yes they had some but their everlasting claim to fame is the band that they eventually went on to become.  The true gods of rock and roll ... the band next to which all others pale in comparison.
