Anyone flying in West L.A.?

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.

I know there is a monthly kite fly down in Huntington Beach, but I'm looking for something a little more traffic friendly...  I live in Santa Monica, so Culver City and Venice are about as far as I want to go.

Anyone know of any good, kite-friendly fields in the area?

plenty of perfect beach around SM you dont need a field but if you want to find one use google map and explore i fly in hermosa come on down sometime  KO ps unless your a sand hater i guess some are

I don't mind sand at all, but parking at any of the close beaches is a pain.  The real issue with fields around here is finding one that doesn't have some sort of group sport game going, which gmpas doesn't indicate.

Also, I'm just as interested in finding people to fly with as find places to fly!

parking down here is not a problem so if you want to come down and fly e-mail me there are 2 sometimes 3 of us with about 10 miles of uncrowded beach average wind is ultra smooth 7mph i am off till the new year
