One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Has anyone had a chance to fly the most recent edition of the Beamer quad foils?  I've got a couple older versions and have a lot of fun with them. The 5m is really slow and doesn't turn all that well (compared to say a blade 4.9) but its got lots of pull and is fun to fly.  The new ones look great and I was just wondering if there would be much of a change in performance.  I'm particularly interested in the 4m to replace my 3.6. Oh yeah, a friend flew my 3.6 awhile back and he really liked it.  His wife recently passed from cancer so I gave him the foil.  I guess I really DO need the new 4m  Grin

Beamer IIIs were never really comparable to a Blade. If you are looking for a higher aspect race kite, try the HQ Crossfire II.

Beamers have always been more of an "allrounder".

The new Beamer IV retains the same easy-to-fly nature that made the Beamer III one of the most popular foil kites on the planet, and includes:

  • Improved acceleration & upwind performance
  • Increased power through incremental breaking
  • Colored flying lines
  • Sewn (no-knot) Dynema bridle for strength & reduced drag
  • Dirt-outs to clean the tips
  • Kite Killers and Ground Stake included

Cheers!
