One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I picked up one last week. I could not pass up the new store discount and free shipping.

I must have missed this.  What discount?

Also, are there any pictures out there of an Ichiban with a pennant tail?

Ron

Hi Ron
Ken had 10% off and free shipping over 100.00 till the 15th.

Rob
Those are some great pictures. That is a great color combo.

if it were a sunnier day the flying pix would have been better...but hey..happens...
i love it!!!i remember Ken bringing a very early on the KTAI and falling in love with it...and the lusting after them for years....
then the stars aligned and i got the last one that Ken had made....it was for himself....and it was perfect for me.....
and i do want a half size......
i would love to participate in an Ichiban fly at some point!!!! i do nto know if there are any others here in New England though...

 Cool
2 ways:

same way as the old forum...for pictures up on the web you need to get the direct url for that picture (i prefer to right click and "copy image location" in firefox).....then come to your thread and hit the button above the first smiley...paste the line between the two img tags....

looks like (without the spaces in the tags): [ img]http://lh4.ggpht.com/_tbYkV1FmtY4/RwlbYYa9--I/AAAAAAAADHw/QWKaVxwacb4/s400/DSCN0611.JPG [ /img]

And then there is now a second way!!!
Click that additional options button below the post box....you can now attach a picture direct from your hard drive....the space that Steve is offering for this is limited so your picture might not be there for all eternity..but you can get a picture up that is not online already!!!!you are limited to size this way....but can still do it!!!!
you will then see a small image of your picture at the bottom of your post....click on it and it should get bigger....people can also directly download the picture as well....

good winds!

Thanks for all the pictures that include pennants.  Wish I  could have taken advantage of Ken's discount.  I still think I like the streamers better but the pennant does have its appeal.

The 45ft pennant looks much better than streamers, and give it a "full" look.

And just looks cooler.   Smiley

Hi Ian
What color combo is that bottom Ichiban?

Bryan

Bryan,

It's not an Ichiban, it's called the Reprise. It's a prototype made after the Ichiban. The color is called Rubin red, just a bad picture, but the same kite as above.

Bryan: that is the same kite that is the first picture in this thread....Ian was lucky enough to get a one of a kind kite.....the prototype of a kite that has not appeared since then....
maybe he would be good enough to tell the story of it fling backwards again on this forum Wink
