One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.

Most along the MS Gulf Coast are good for flying.  Nice beaches strech along Hwy 90 from Waveland to the bridge at Ocean Springs.  That gives you about 25 miles of beach to choose from.

There is a kite fest in Long Beach by the harbor.  The beach there is pretty wide and great for flying.  The only places to avoid are the crowded areas but that should not pose a problem this time of year.  Just drive along Hwy 90 and pick a spot.  The parking along the beach is pretty good so you leave your car and step right to the beach.  Usually nice wind ranging from light to brisk.  The last couple of days however its been like 40mph but currently sunny and 5mph.  Beaches in Ocean Springs are narrow and less fly friendly.  The most eastern beach is Pascagoula and also fine for flying.

If you are traveling on I-10 the easiest way to beach is take the I-110 to Biloxi and go either East or West when you hit Hwy 90.

Enjoy,
