Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I found this on the main GWTW forum page:
Most Online Today: 24. Most Online Ever: 170 (August 13, 2009, 03:33 AM)

So what was going on that early in the morning that resulted in 170 members online?

Dont know anything about the web but..

Maybe the forum software can detect people who are "on line" and not "in forum".
We may have 10 people in the forum, but at the same time, 160 people may be on line, but elsewhere, on other forums, or surfing the net.
And because we all have cookies from this forum, we are detected as being on line.

May have been a hack attempt, seen that before on other forums including those I manage.
