Yesterday afternoon, a long square box came up on our doorstep. Little did I know it was going to quickly take a spot of one my favorite indoor kites I've ever flown.
When the Focus Echo came out of it's bag for the first time, and into my hands, the first thing I'd noticed right off the bat was the impeccable build quality. I inspected the kite thoroughly and was impressed with every inch of the kite. No detail went un-noticed with this one. The bridal line awesome, the no-snag nose feels like it's the same fabric of the LE (it's sewn beautifully), the sewing between icarex panels is top notch, etc.
When I took out the echo today I flew it twice. Once with minimal winds (around 1 or 2 mph, with spots down to zero), and once after oral surgery (again...) with spotty winds (variable light winds and vicadin, hahaha). Both times, with nice wind, and with spotty winds and a disoriented flyer, the kite handled great. The one trick this kite will really excel at is the flatspin. WOW! Cascades are nice (required a two pop cascade), throws are nice, etc. All around, the kite handled well. It has decent pull for a kite its size, which is something I like. The kite will lock in a fade well, and I even got a few commetes out of it.
All in all, the kite's deffenantly worth the investment. I'm very, very happy with the product that Focus has put out. It won't dissapoint! I give it my highest reccomendation.
Here's a picture of mine in the snow. I have 2 more coming so I can stack them!
