One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

So I was looking at the recent photos of the Bazzer Rev and it struck me that the kite might look better if the vertical rods were white instead of black.

Certainly on the lighter colored themes, white rods would be less distracting than the overpowering black rods which interrupt the panel layout.

Has anyone done any experimenting with paint or white shrink wrap on the verticals? Or will it still show up close to black when viewed through the sail?

quite true...a white rod would look better a lot of the time in rev's....
now to make a white rod...hmmm
could try a white electrical tape or duct tape....

btw: picasa hint....

That is the section of the picasa page that creates direct links to your images....makes it REALLY easy to post in ANY forum!
on the right hand column below your name/avatar there is blue text that says "link to this Photo>" and this is the drop down box that appears....
my preference is for 400px pictures and "image only (no link)" option....then you copy the "embed image" url (what ever way you do it on a mac etc) and post in the standard image tags on here.....works very well!!!

right click or use whatever keyboard shortcut Macs use, Copy Image Location, nest inside [img] tags for the thumbnail
go to the full sized image page, Copy the URL, nest inside [url=] tags
nest the [img] tagged thumbnail inside the [url=] link to the full-sized image

I agree, with a back lit kite the rods will cast a dark shadow. Maybe polished aluminum or mirrored or camo rods   Cheesy  beautiful pictures tho.

What's the deal with the Zen, almost looks like the rods are on the wrong side.
