Congratulations to Jim B for winning #152! It's a beautiful kite and I can't wait to get a look at it! Paul Shirey makes beautiful kites!

I don't know how long the eBay link will work but check it out while you can.

Link removed...sorry against forum policy to have ebay links..."Under the broad umbrella of commercial use is posting links to eBay auctions, so please, no links to eBay."

That is a nice kite.  Congrats Jim.   Cool

I understand Paul is going to build a limited number of kites this year for 'fun'.  If interested in an Aerostar, you could send him a note and ask nicely...

Just for the record.... it sold for a Buy It Now at $375 as a re-listed item. Does this mean the SanoDex has fallen somewhat from its dizzying heights ?

Beauty remains lodged in the beholder's eye but....

LOUD, innit ?

Not sure it is loud so much as... understated, but with one safety marker and two fully-lit afterburners  Wink

But then again, my eyes have always been a tad strange.   Shocked

Hi Guys!

Wasn't me.

Somebody else is the lucky guy.

I was not even aware that Paul had a new one up.

Just a Sano here. A gift from some of you folks actually.

Lovely kite.

Who'd a thunk there'd be two JimB's?

I've seen past auctions where they'd go for almost 500 bucks. I've always liked the Sanos.

Semi-Off Topic:

On the AeroStar News/Updates page, there is a youtube video where Paul narrates the details of  the Sano SSL+ #152 Auction.  In the very background (around 9:30 or 10:00 in the frame) of the YouTube thumbnail, there is what I presume was an AeroStar prototype kite with a curved (almost crescent) leading edge.  Does anyone have any info on that kite?  It reminds me a bit of a Fijet with an extended spine.

The kite is the Crossbow, Paul's indoor kite. Weighs next to nothing. Yes, I've been to the kite cave Shocked
The included air brakes, or as some have called them the 'sano condoms' do work well for extending the top range of the kite.
The black shiny leading edge tunnels are really nice and sparkle in the sun!
The 'buy it now' option wasn't offered on some of the past auctions, which is why the kite went for what it did, imho
I own the Std sano ss, ssl, ssz and like them alot!
A number of local fliers, ok mostly me, have bugged Paul to make the Axiom, a bigger sized sano. Rumors of the prototype being made still continue.

I'm not aware these were marketed or if Paul built more than one.

+1 on the Sano.  While not TNKTSTW, the Sano is a well behaved 7' freestyler that handles inland conditions well.  Very nice kite. I always have a set in the car.

An 8' Sano?  Hmmm.
