One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

My wife and I will be going. I like to watch the Paso Robles Fire Department exercise their Aerial Ladder Truck.  Wink The kite festival is a lot of fun too.

For some reason you don't strike me as the praying kind, but Paso might be a good time and place to start.  Cheesy

Due to the lack of wind, Mark Lummas chose to run with Jim Strealy's kite for the candy drop.

During the third drop, the wind came up and took the kite into a light standard, impaling it on the lightning rod at the top.

Thanks to the ever diligent Paso Robles Fire Department, the kite was retrieved.  It sustained a repairable tear and is now at the Champie Kite Hospital where it should recover in time for Morro Bay.

The incident was a real "Crowd Pleaser".
